How to Pick the Best Watermelon

The more golden of a color it has, the better the watermelon.

1. When you see a watermelon, the first thing that really sticks out on it is the weird white or yellowish surface. These are quite natural spots, and they can actually help you pick a better watermelon.

It is called the field spot and it is the place where the watermelon was sitting on the ground.Even though all spots are very similar to each other, the best option for you is to go for the orange-yellow or creamy yellow spots.
The more golden of a color it has, the better the watermelon.

2. Another thing you should watch out for is the webbing on the surface of the watermelon. It indicates how many times a bee touched the flower, and the more webbing, the better the watermelon is.

3. Is the watermelon a boy or a girl? Funny question, right? Well, you may not believe it at first, but the watermelon is divided into boy watermelons and girl watermelons.
The boy ones are taller and shall we say, with a longish shape, and the girl ones are round, just like a ball.

If you happen to pick an elongated watermelon, it will be more watery, a roundbut if you are looking for a sweet watermelon, then you should definitely around, girl watermelon.(Girls are always sweet)
4. It is in the common sense of the people that the bigger the watermelon, the better it tastes. Well, unfortunately, you are going to have to erase that thought from your mind completely.
The reality is that the best watermelons are those of an average size, so there is not a particular way to pick a watermelon if you choose only by looking at how big or small they are.

5. Finally, we have the tail of the watermelon. It is the sole indicator of the ripeness of this fruit.

If the watermelon has a green and fresh tail,it means that it is picked up too soon and it will probably not taste as good as you expect it to. But,if the tail is dried up, it guarantees you the best of taste!
I hope that I have helped you pick the watermelon of your taste, and remember, you can’t judge a book by its cover, but you can definitely pick a watermelon from its appearance!
